Built by someone who spent a career inside the systems small businesses run on.
Kozentis was founded by Thay Shanmugaratnam, a technology executive who spent more than two decades inside the systems large retail and its independent dealers depend on. It exists to give owner-operated businesses the technology judgment big companies keep in house.
Who is behind Kozentis
Thay is a technology executive with more than two decades building and running systems for large retail and healthcare organizations. He started as a software engineer and consultant at IBM, moved into retail technology at Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaw, and then spent eight years as Associate Vice President of Store Technology at Canadian Tire Corporation, working entirely on the systems independent dealers use every day: point of sale, inventory and pricing, store devices, and the dealer network itself.
He holds a Software Engineering degree from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
Why Kozentis
Large companies have teams for this. They have people who evaluate technology, protect their data, and put new tools to work. An owner-operated business has none of that, and AI is arriving anyway.
Kozentis gives owners what the big companies have: someone who understands the technology, understands how their business runs, and has no product to push. Whether that starts with being found when customers ask AI, or with using AI safely across the operation, the job is the same.
